Despite the extraordinary circumstances of the past week, the Plainfield City Clerk's office is working hard to ensure safe and secure voting. As of this writing, voters are asked to go to their regular polling locations to vote.
The polls will be open tomorrow, Tuesday, November 6, between the hours of 6:00 am and 8:00 pm. Generators will be supplied to any polling station still without power on Tuesday. If there are any changes, you will be notified at your regular polling site.
Union County residents who have been displaced OUTSIDE the county may vote by email or fax. Click on the link below:
Please study your sample ballot carefully. There are 3 public questions on this year's ballot--one specifically asking voters to decide on whether Plainfield should establish a Charter Study Commission.
In addition to the federal election, the Plainfield ballot also has the Charter Study Commission candidates on Line 10, starting at Column C. The Board of Education candidates are also on the ballot, below the Charter Commission candidates.
See the previous blog post for information on all local candidates on the Plainfield ballot.
